Happy Easter !
It was a bright, sunny day today here in Southern Ontario. So, we decided to take a short driving tour down to Cambridge. Cambridge is a 45 mins drive from my place and we went to the Southworks Antiques store, a 30,000 square feet of space filled with collectibles, ranging from metal toy cars to elegant furniture, which takes you down the Canadian history lane. Southworks has been built in a resurrected (Interestingly, egg is a symbol of resurrection for Christians) factory of Scottish heritage and indeed reminded me of present day shopping areas in England/Scotland. Unlike box stores and shopping malls here, the shopping areas in the UK are built around downtown cores where old and new architecture intermingle.
Southworks also boasts of a few factory outlet stores, a flower shop, and a cafe. Though, the flower shop was small and nice, the outlet stores weren't very impressive. We couldn't stop by the cafe because my son had had enough of our boring stuff and wanted McDonald's. However, we did stop by the downtown to take a few photos (the church and the time capsule).
Overall, it was a nice trip on a sunny Easter Sunday !
